AOA and Refuel/NWS Indexer Lights

The indexer lights are positioned at the left and right sides of the HUDat the center console. Inside a casing are 3 lights on each side. The left lights (AOA) show the optimal Angle of Attack of the A/C during landing. The indexers at the right side are used during in air refueling. The light in the middle has a double function, showing the status of the NWS (Nose Wheel Steering) when the A/C is on the ground with extended landing gear (is selected with the Missile Step Switch on the.
