The Multi Function Displays are two screens located at the
center console.
They are used mainly to operate the weapon systems, specially info about what weapons are available, radar
data and optical displays about the weapon in use. Each MFD is surrounded by 20 OSBs (Option Selection
Buttons). The function of each of these OSBs is displayed directly on the MFD, according to the selected
function area. The MFDs are turned on/off via the MFD switch, located on the Avionics Power Panel. Note: more
information about the MFDs can be obtained from the
EFALCON 1.10
manual.
The MFDs are produced by Honeywell. Dimensions: 5.25" W x 5.125" H x 11,36" L. The screen is 4" x 4" and has a
resolution of 480 x 480 Pixel, 16,7 million colour-shades. The display is an LCD (Liquid Chrystal Display).
